| 1080i Refers to a resolution statndard for HDTV's. Basically the TV is capable of displaying 1920x1280 pixels, where the "i" stands for "interlaced". The lines alternate in displaying on the TV. If you had 4 lines, numbered 1-4, lines 1 and 3 would scan first, then 2 and 4, alternating in fractions of a second to diplay an image.
